What does a session with you feel like?
Think unhurried, intentional, and cinematic mixed with fun, full of laughter, and intimacy. With gentle guidance and space to simply be yourselves, the focus shifts away from stiff posing and towards natural movement and authentic reactions.
How do we choose a location?
Your location can be somewhere meaningful to you, somewhere you've always wanted to explore, or simply somewhere that fits the kind of photographs you’re drawn to!
I photograph couples throughout Melbourne, from the city and surrounding suburbs to the Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley and beyond. If you’re not sure where to go, I’m always happy to help you find somewhere that suits your relationship and the feel you want from your photographs.
What if we're uncomfortable in front of the camera?
You're not alone, most people are at first! BUT, I promise you this - give me 10 minutes and you'll be wondering what you were worried about.
I use prompts and activities as a way to encourage movement and create natural reactions. My aim is to make this a fun date (or family day), where there's no expectation of perfection, just you, present and together.
What should we wear for our session?
Something that feels comfortable, natural, and true to you. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, flowing fabrics, and layered textures always photograph beautifully. After booking, you’ll receive a detailed style guide with colour palettes, outfit inspiration, and tips to help bring everything together effortlessly.
Do you photograph proposals and engagements?
Absolutely! Proposals and engagements are some of my favourite stories to photograph, whether you’re planning a completely secret surprise or simply want to document this chapter before your wedding.
For surprise proposals, I’ll work with you beforehand to plan the logistics so I can be there without giving anything away, then capture the proposal naturally before stepping in for some relaxed portraits afterwards. Engagement sessions can be a little more playful and intentional, giving you space to celebrate being engaged and create photographs that feel like the two of you.
If you’re not sure where to start, I can also help you choose a location and plan the session around the kind of experience and photographs you’re imagining.
How far do you travel for photography?
I’m based in South East Melbourne and regularly travel throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas, including the Dandenong Ranges, Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley.
My session packages include travel within 50km, so you can choose from a pretty wide range of locations without worrying about an extra travel cost. For locations beyond that, I simply add a small travel fee based on the distance!
If you have somewhere further away in mind, don’t rule it out just because it isn’t listed on my website. I’m very happy to travel for locations that feel right for your story — whether that’s a Grampians elopement, a beach on the Peninsula, a favourite place in the city or a location completely outside my usual area.
